1972 Nishijin Recycler Gen11972 Nishijin Gen1 In 1972 Nishijin offered two types of recyclers which are very common models in the United States. Gen1 has a bright blue front loading tray, and Gen2 has a dark blue one. Gen1 comes with 47A-A (Lilies), 47A-B (Flowerfall), and 47A-C (Sprouts) playfields. The upper left plasic part was a series of orange and red octogons, and the lower left showed balls in the jacpot hopper as well as two green lenses. The ball low hopper light is located behind the upper left. The win light (if used) was always located behind the center attraction. The spinners were usually 6-slot painted white and yellow with a green center. The front case was always a whitewashed wood finish that becomes very yellow with age. Most of the rear plastic components were green. The expiration tags are mounted on a sticker displaying a map, a boat, and Perseus holding Medusa's severed head.
